Will There Be a Showtime Season 2?

The latest drama Showtime took the viewers by storm with its unique plot. Featuring an ensemble cast, the Disney+ Hotstar web series throws light on the dark side of the film industry. While everything seems to be glamorous on the outside, the personal lives of individuals in Bollywood are very different. As the first season of the show came out in two parts and ended at a cliffhanger, fans are excited to know if there will be a Showtime Season 2.

Showtime stars Emraan Hashmi, Mahima Makwana, Rajeev Khandelwal, Mouni Roy, Shriya Saran, Naseeruddin Shah, Vijay Raaz, and more. Its official synopsis reads, “An epic saga of legacy and ambition, get a glimpse behind the multimillion-dollar industry of Bollywood, nepotism and power struggles at the top.”

Will Emraan Hashmi’s web series get a sequel?

Showtime Season 1 was released in two parts earlier this year. Soon after its arrival on the streaming giant, the web series entertained the audience thoroughly. It follows the story of Mahika, a young woman who inherits the biggest production studio from her maternal grandfather. While she tries to fit into the industry, her step-uncle Raghu Khanna does not leave any stone unturned in pulling her down. Throughout their journey to defeat one another, they make many enemies on the way.

Showtime Season 1 ends with the closing of Victory Studios. As Mahika is restless about the shutting down of the production house, Raghu blames her for the same. However, they soon join hands. On the other hand, Armaan asks Yasmine to unite with him and get back to Raghu and Mahika.

As the web series’ first season ended, it hinted that the story would continue with another season. However, an official confirmation about the same is awaited. Stay tuned for more updates.
