Considering the famous folks featured in this musical, this is the scene that totally stands out for me. I had the good fortune to be working in a cinema when this was being shown and saw it a hundred times or more and it never became stale and I never grew tired of seeing it. I often wondered if the people paying money to come and see it were enjoying it as much as I was.
I loved this movie since I was a little girl. It was the first time I saw black people on the big screen like this. I am 52, so that should tell you something. This movie heals my inner child every time I see it.❤❤❤
"Bring the message in your head or something you can't lose"…that line (and her face) was why I was terrified of this scene as a child. She's STILL just horrifying.
She bust the whip out! It was over with

This was a great movie and I loved it so much and it’s a classic too.
Did you all know during the song “The Color Is,” Quincy Jones is playing the piano? The Wiz was chiefly produced by Quincy Jones. 🙏🏾❤️💯
This was a great movie so I don’t know why people are still tripping about it.
The star
It’s sad how much I relate to this song in this time in my life😅
"Bring the message in your head or something you can't lose"…that line (and her face) was why I was terrified of this scene as a child. She's STILL just horrifying.
Man… They really made her look like a rotund version of Rita Repulsa. LOL
Mabel King was phenomenal in this scene. That dress weighed over 80 pounds! And she’s struttin in it like it’s no big deal!
I can't tell if this church or work🤣
Viewing from Texas!
Terrible
This is terrible directing. Lumet messed this up. And Quincy knew better they.
