Texan here: I like most Spielberg movies. They brought a magic to the late 1970s and 1980s that influenced a lot and defined imagination for a generation. But this movie was trash. This is not how the real event played out. There was nothing sympathetic about the criminal. Texans are not crazy gun nuts that shoot anything that moves. Texas cops do not crash cop cars all over the place. It’s okay to be entertained and amused by this movie, but understand it’s absurd comedy and fantasy.
I saw the exact same scene in the fast and the furious

I like the little thing of the guys barrels crossing and clinking together
