Fans are excited as The Devil Wears Prada 2, the long-awaited sequel, is in the works. Miranda Priestly and Emily Charlton will be back with more drama and entertainment. However, fans are curious if The Devil Wears Prada 2 will include Anne Hathaway‘s character or not.

Here is everything you need to know about the sequel and the potential return of Anne Hathaway’s character.

Will Anne Hathaway’s Andy Sachs return in The Devil Wears Prada 2?

As of now, Anne Hathaway’s Andy Sachs is not confirmed to return in The Devil Wears Prada 2.

In March 2024, the actress spoke with E! News about not seeing the sequel happen. She said, “I don’t think a continuation of that story is probably ever gonna happen.” Hathaway further added, “The reason that movie felt so special was that we were a team and we did that work, but really it’s the love that everybody pours into it.”

In 2022, the Oscar-winner shed light on the presence of Andy Sachs. She told E! News, “I think Andy is in Paris and I think that she is writing for a wonderful French women’s magazine, I think I think she’s a staff writer and she speaks French fluently. And I don’t think she’s married, but she might have a child or two. I think she’s pretty fab. ”

As per Puck, the plot of The Devil Wears Prada 2 will see Miranda and Emily in a fashion tiff. Miranda continues as the editor of Runaway and will deal with loss in the traditional print business. Later, she will clash with Emily Charlton, her former assistant who now works as a senior executive in a luxury group. Miranda will be in need of advertising revenue and it will be up to Emily to help her ex-boss.

Screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna, who wrote the original film, is reportedly in talks to return for the sequel.
