The Brutalist & Queer Release Dates Set for A24 Movies

A24 has set release dates for two of its upcoming films, Brady Corbet’s The Brutalist and Luca Guadagnino’s next feature film, Queer.

When are The Brutalist and Queer release dates?

According to a recent report from Deadline, Queer will release in limited theaters beginning on November 27, 2024. The latest film from Guadagnino is an adaptation of William S. Burroughs’ novel of the same name and follows William Lee (Daniel Craig), an American ex-pat who develops a strong connection with a young student.

Alongside Craig, Queer also stars Joining Drew Starkey, Jason Schwartzman, Lesley Manville, Henry Zaga, Drew Droege, Ariel Schulman, Colin Bates, Omar Apollo, Ronia Ava, and more. For Guadagnino, it’ll be yet another feature film in 2024 for the hard-working director.

Guadagnino also released romantic sports drama Challengers earlier this year. That film starred Zendaya, Josh O’Connor, and Mike Faist, and was released to positive reviews. Guadagnino is working on another project, After the Hunt, which is set to release in 2025.

As for The Brutalist, it will open in theaters on December 20, 2024, in a limited fashion. The film stars Oscar-winner Adrien Brody as Hungarian and Jewish architect László Tóth, who moves to the United States in 1947. “Initially forced to toil in poverty, he soon wins a contract that will change the course of the next 30 years of his life,” reads the logline for the film.

Alongside Brody, The Brutalist will also star Felicity Jones, Guy Pearce, Joe Alwyn, Stacy Martin, Alessandro Nivola, and Isaach de Bankolé. The Brutalist recently had its premiere at the Venice Film Festival, where it received a 13-minute standing ovation and saw director Brady Corbet win the Silver Lion for Best Director.
