Teacup Trailer: A Mysterious Threat Lurks in James Wan Horror Series

Peacock has released a brand new Teacup trailer, previewing James Wan’s upcoming horror-thriller series that’s set to premiere on October 10, 2024, on the streaming platform.

What happens in the Teacup trailer?

The trailer highlights the banding together of a group of people in rural Georgia to face off against a mysterious threat. In the trailer, a child goes missing only to return talking about a man in his head, and a mysterious man in a gas mask draws a line that must not be crossed while also warning people not to trust anyone.

Teacup will start streaming on Thursday, October 10 with the first two episodes. It will then be followed by two-episode weekly releases through Halloween. The 8-episode horror drama will be led by Yvonne Strahovski, Scott Speedman, Chaske Spencer, Kathy Baker, Boris McGiver, Caleb Dolden, Emilie Bierre, and Luciano Leroux.

Teacup is written and executive produced by showrunner Ian McCulloch, with The Haunting of Bly Manor’s E.L. Katz directing the first episode. The series is inspired by the New York Times bestselling novel Stinger by Robert McCammon.

“After reading Robert McCammon’s book Stinger, the entire team at Atomic Monster felt a spark,” Wan said in a statement on the show’s creation. “Teacup defies easy labels. It’s a genre-bending blend of horror, mystery, and drama, with layers that unfold like a captivating puzzle. It goes beyond chills and thrills and holds up a mirror to humanity, exploring the darkness that resides within us all. We hope you enjoy this wild ride as much as we’ve loved creating it!”
