Square Enix’s Manga UP! and Anime-Planet Announce Cross-Licensing Partnership


Fan favorite manga such as Fullmetal Alchemist, Black Butler, Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun, and more to be featured on Anime-Planet’s online portal

LOS ANGELES (Sep. 3, 2024) – Today, SQUARE ENIX® and Anime-Planet, an online database for manga and anime, announced a cross-licensing partnership whereby manga chapters from popular series featured on Square Enix‘s Manga UP! service will be available on Anime-Planet’s online reading portal for free. Consumers will be able to stream select chapters from a wide selection of fan favorite manga series such as Fullmetal Alchemist, Black Butler, Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun, and more.
