Genndy Tartakovsky confirms 2025 release date for Primal 3

Primal Season 3’s release date will arrive in 2025, per the show’s creator, Genndy Tartakovsky. The animation legend recently gave an update on its progress and production status.

In his interview with Collider, Tartakovsky confirmed that not only will Primal Season 3 come out in 2025, but half of the animation is already done on its 10 episodes. He said:

“It’s coming. I’m finishing up the tenth episode right now, and so we got 10 more half-hours. We’re in production, and it’s gonna blow everybody’s socks off, I think.”

About its story and animation, he added:

“I’m just finishing up the last episode, and already half of it is already done because it’s all overlapped. Half of it is already animated. We’re doing post on the first two episodes already, so we’re over the hard part. We’re in the heat of production.”

Talking about what’s coming in Season 3, he said only that it will be “something special.” However, he revealed some of Primal’s future plans in 2023 while speaking to Comicbook.com, and said:

“I have something in mind that is so spectacular I cannot wait to do it, and we’re trying to figure out how to do it. It’s a brand new world, but I’m so into it. I think everybody’s going to love it. It’s a very natural progression without giving anything away, but I’ve got more things for the Primal world and I cannot wait to do more.”

There is currently no exact release date for Primal Season 3’s release on Adult Swim in 2025.
