Netflix‘s new TV and movie release schedule for September 23-29 2024 includes Will & Harper, Ellen DeGeneres: For Your Approval, A True Gentleman, and many more.

On September 24, 2024, Penelope drops on Netflix. The show Penelope is an exciting new coming-of-age series, created by Mark Duplass and Mel Eslyn. Featuring Megan Stott and Austin Abrams. This story follows a restless teenager who grapples with her identity and sets off on a transformative adventure into the stunning wilderness of the Pacific Northwest. At just sixteen, she leaves her home behind, driven by her passion for nature and a desire to escape the chaos of modern life.

Then on September 26, it continues with Everything Calls for Salvation Season 2 on Netflix. The show follows how after finding himself unexpectedly admitted to a mental health facility, Daniele embarks on a journey of rediscovery. While learning to embrace life and love once more, aided by his fellow patients as they all seek redemption. This Italian series chronicles the young man’s week-long experience in the psychiatric ward, revealing the challenges and connections that arise during his stay.

Also part of Netflix’s release schedule for this week is the American documentary Film Will & Harper.

The movie made its debut at the 40th Sundance Film Festival in January, and Netflix acquired the distribution rights shortly after. Throughout their journey, Will learns that his longtime friend Harper of 30 years is transitioning to a trans woman, prompting them to hit the road together to navigate this new chapter in their friendship, offering a heartfelt look at both friendship and transition. For this movie, the filmmakers first thought about intentionally crafting comedic scenes but ultimately chose to let the humor happen naturally.
