Miss Night and Day episode 8 aired on Sunday, July 7, 2024, on JTBC and Netflix. Starring Jung Eun-Ji, Lee Jung-Eun, and Choi Jin-Hyuk, the romance comedy K-drama is about a young woman transforming into a middle-aged lady during the day.

In the previous episode, someone followed Lee Mi-Jin (Eun-Ji) at night, which made her nervous. She informed Gye Ji-Ung (Jin-Hyuk) about the same. The next day, her older version, Lim Sun (Jung-Eun), attended an office party. Ko Won (Baek Seo-Hoo) rushed the drunk Lim Sun to go home before sunset. The episode ended with her falling into his arms and turning into Mi-Jin. Meanwhile, Ji-Ung was shocked to see his love interest in someone else’s embrace.

Miss Night and Day episode 8 begins with Ko Won carefully placing Mi-Jin inside his car. However, Ji-Ung stops him and calls an ambulance instead. The two sit beside Mi-Jin at the hospital. Apparently, she took Ko Won’s anti-anxiety pills by mistake and became sick, which makes Ji-Ung suspicious of Ko Won.

What happens in Miss Night and Day episode 8?

Miss Night and Day episode 8 further shows Mi-Jin getting scared and asking Ko Won how he discovered her secret. He calmly explains that he kept watching her and will keep her secret hidden. Later, the bond between the two begins to get stronger.

Meanwhile, Ji-Ung works on a case that makes the senior citizen team’s intern, Baek Cheol-Gyu, a suspect. When the prosecutor’s subordinate investigates the suspect, he learns that the elderly man has a clean record. However, the next scene hints that Cheol-Gyu could be a villain. The next day, Lim Sun learns that one of her senior citizen colleagues may have gone missing. She shares her concerns with others and has suspicions about Cheol-Gyu. Later, she relates the serial missing cases with her aunt’s case, and Mi-Jin’s older version tries to look like her aunt, Lim Sun.

Lee Jung-Eun is afraid of Choi Jin-Hyuk finding her secret 

A flashback shows her mother distributing pamphlets of her missing aunt while she is sitting on a police station’s stairs with a cat. Ji-Ung, who was also a kid then, spots her and the cat. On the other hand, Ko Won vows to protect Lim Sun/Mi-Jin at all costs.

Meanwhile, a detective arrives at Ji-Ung’s office to hand over a list of people who have gone missing over the years. In the prosecutor’s absence, Lim Sun takes the document and goes through the names. She finds her aunt Lim Sun’s name and gets scared when Ji-Ung leaves with the document. Afraid, she exclaims, “If he finds out I stole my aunt’s name, I am doomed.”

Miss Night and Day Episode 8 ending spoilers

In Miss Night and Day episode 8, Ji-Ung’s subordinate investigates deeper into Cheol-Gyu and ends up outside an apartment complex. He bumps into his boss there and learns that he lives in one of the apartments at that complex. Later at night, Ji-Ung has a visitor.

Mi-Jin decides to barge into Ji-Ung’s place for drinks in order to get hold of the missing people’s document. He tries to make her leave but she doesn’t budge and continues to make excuses to stay back. Eventually, he gives in and they begin to drink. The two become slightly inebriated a while later, leading to Ji-Ung’s confession. He says, “I just liked you from the start.” As Mi-Jin’s cheeks become flushed, Ji-Ung continues to pour his heart out as he shares the pain of losing his mother.

After a while, he reminds her of the time and clears the plates. Accidentally, Mi-Jin breaks one of the plates and gets hurt. Ji-Ung panics and rushes to find his first aid kit. In the meantime, Mi-Jin grabs the document and discovers that she had incorrectly read Lim Suk as Lim Sun. Towards the end, her heart flutters when Ji-Ung carefully treats her mildly wounded finger. The final scene features Mi-Jin leaning towards Ji-Ung and sharing their first kiss.

Miss Night and Day airs twice a week on Saturdays and Sundays on JTBC and Netflix.
