It's interesting how it seems that people love this or hate this. I love it. Personally, I think the imperfections are what make it perfect. Her character is in a deep state of suffering, bordering on sobbing. She sounds exactly how she is supposed to.
I would belt this in the shower after my first love dumped me and joined the marines 😅 shockingly he had a new girlfriend at his going away party (which he invited me to that day) my dad still hates me
hearing this again as an adult and actually understanding the lyrics because my heart has been torn out…because I am incapable of moving on from him…I don't want the river to just be a river…
The sound of the whole movie is awful. Having seen the musical on stage numerous times makes me think that the makers haven't. They could have given the voices a tiny bit of hall to make the voices sound fuller. But this is just dry sound. It makes the movie almost unwatchable.
A subtle part of her tragedy is that her parents were cruel to Cosette, thus unfairly placing a kind of "peaked in gradeschool" shadow on Eponine's life in comparison to Cosette's.
The last paragraph of Ch 20 in Hugo's masterpiece:
The book which the reader has under his eye at this moment is, from one end to the other, as a whole and in detail, whatever may be its intermittences, exceptions and faults, the march from evil to good, from the unjust to the just, from night to day, from appetite to conscience, from rottenness to life, from hell to heaven, from nothingness to God. Point of departure: matter; point of arrival: the soul. The hydra at the beginning, the angel at the end.
Samantha is the second Eponie on my list, behind herself Queen Lea Salonga
Without me, his world will go on turning… 😢
"Without me his world will go on turning" felt that❤
Why isn't the "Éponine walks the streets of Paris" part of the song in the movie? The part that immediately precedes the song itself?
damn girl 😭
She is playing Elsa in Frozen at London's Theater Royal
The best singer and actor in this movie.

영화에서 이 배역이 제일 좋았다
I know her back still hurts from carrying this movie.
This song caught me offguard and hold me prisoner for years

The Manx girl.
Mau belajar lagu ituhh😮
I want to think She is just tributing this song to Lea Salonga's Version of Eponine 🥺
She captures the song the same as Lea Salonga did. 🥺
Quem veio após saber que o Cartolano é um amor impossível e falou pro portiolli q está namorando 😊
Sad but beautiful song.
Sounds like opera a bit
I am glad you were in The Candle.
When you realise she's in diagon alley👀

Eponine é a projeção perfeita do que passei na adolescência. No meu caso uma paixonite por um heterossexual, que é claro nunca se concretizou.
Girl was fighting for a man that didn’t want her and died for him too.
I hear ya Ponine. Love sucks.
She slayed this song 🎉🎉
me when he doesnt text back

The most relatable song in musical theatre I'm afraid

This is a very important part of my life

samantha and hadley were some of the best parts of this movie imo. sucks the latter had such a minor role with only one line
