Jesus Christ Superstar (1973) – Heaven on Their Minds Scene (1/10) | Clip
Jesus Christ Superstar – Heaven on Their Minds: Judas (Carl Anderson) tries to warn Jesus (Ted Neeley). BUY THE MOVIE: …
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur.
Carl really taps into his role as Judas.
Judas did his best to be the voice of reason but he could never see the kingdom for what it truly was.
Matthew 6 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
ㄷㄷㄷㄷ
I remember being raised in Unity and the teaching that Judas was fulfilling Divine Order
his performance as Judas is the GOLD STANDARD of performing this role! no one has come close and can claim this, only Carl Anderson can!
The musical mix is horrible
Carl Anderson RIP 🙏🏽
Great opening guitar riff, and amazing vocals and performance
❤😘😘👍🔥👋✨😁❤️❤️❤️❤️😘😘
Jesus probably up there all pissed off that we got the best male singer ever to exist to play Judas. 😂
Took a dose of lsd and balled my eyes out at the absolute beauty and truth of this both as a statement of profound truth and a piece of cinematic and musical excellence.
Watched this masterpiece for the first time a couple of days ago and this is probably one of the best songs in the movie.
This, Jesuschrist Superstar and Ghetsemane. In that order.
Also, edit: You know this movie will be gas when THIS is what sets the tone.
That one cut starting at 2:23 that lasts for nearly 40 seconds is impeccable.
Musical style singing is objectively bad.
Brutal
The title of this opera rock must be "JudasSuperstar". No doubt.
Camilo sesto>>>>>
50th anniversary of this great movie…I still watch it often since 1974. My fave and the most honest depiction of a historic figure.
Judas is a pathetic narcissist. 💡
Andrew Lloyd Webber was lucky to have someone of this immense talent calibre in this musical show movie. Carl Anderson, may he rest in peace, tore the cinema screen and stage apart in this role as Judas Iscariot. Absolute genius musical performance here as Judas Iscariot. And Jesus Christ Superstar, the musical show – absolutely one of the best. From Andrew Lloyd Webber. Tim Rice was good too
1:19 Bold thing to say when your Jesus looks like that
My mind is clearer now…
Carl Andersson! More Swedish can u not be!!! But, you color…
So was this movie satirical?
You know after all this years of listening to this song I'm starting to think… Judas makes a good point.
This is song is incredible obviously. Recommendation: you might also like the soundtrack to Every Extend Extra.
Top-tier performer. Incredible talent. RIP, Carl. You are loved. ❤
Carl Anderson's performance keeps me coming back decades later.
This is awesome. A bunch of actors arrive in the Israeli desert and put on a rock opera about the Paasion . Love ut
"You've begun to matter more than the things you say." A powerful line.. and that's exactly what happened.. through no fault of his own. That happened when his followers deified him.
Carl Anderson was amazing! So powerful & passionate. He helped us see a man who was deeply afraid – for his people and for his teacher & his mission.
And thus, frustrated & angry.
He thought he was the only smart & practical one while others had "too much heaven on their mind".
When he sings "We are occupied; have you forgotten how put down we are? And they'll crush us if we go too far," Judas reflects the thinking of many people who've lived under brutal military occupation for several years. (I was growing up under martial law in the 60s & 70s)
TJSS was brilliantly written & scored. And Carl Anderson was perfectly cast. Thank you to all inbolved in its creation and all the various productions
Judas has the best songs in this movie
I love it❤
Beautiful performance!👏🔝❗️😍
This is a masterclass of singing and acting at the same time, a balance which so few broadway actors can get right.
Classic all of it xx
What a voice
He's got a point though
I think this whole production could not be topped. Some things are just perfect the first time around 🥇
My mom had us watching this from the beginning. I remember my sister and I would turn it on all the time when we were preschool age. And I remember having chills watching it then too.
Is this version of Judas a hero in this adaption? This particular Judas doesn't seem like a traitor at all. More like a caring, concerned, loving well wisher for Issa aka Jesus. I have always wondered about this since 1973 when I was 6 years old.
I know most of you that read this will disagree but that's ok in my opinion this is Andrew Lloyd Webber's best work and it's not the subject that the movie is about as I'm an agnostic person it's the music and the way the story is told, although I'm agnostic I'm aware of the story of the Bible inside out
I believe in my Holy Lady. I believe in the Virgin Birth.
Самая лучшая рок опера
"All your followers are blind; too much heaven on their minds…"
Heady stuff.
What a beautiful role and play he does.
Великий вокалист… стройный, гибкий, мощный… страстный….
This is definitely one of the best introductions to a film that I have ever seen. Beautifully filmed. And the music? Beyond compare.
Nostalgia attack.
Amazing wow
If Jesus comes back again they will do the same to him , but this time everybody will have it on video in their cellphones.
