I grew up in foster homes and they’ve all been abusive towards me I’ve developed with severe depression , anxiety and ptsd. When I first started watching this movie I can’t state that I had flashbacks of being in foster homes.
Calling a usually nervous timid boy brave can have a strong positive reinforcement on that kid
Lizzy’s even more guilty and she blamed herself during this scene. She said to the foster parents it’s her fault since she yelled that out to Juan. I don’t blame her 😔
