Donald Trump traveled to Georgia to deliver supplies in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. His campaign launched the GoFundMe campaign on behalf of the former president “as an official response for MAGA supporters to offer their financial assistance to their fellow Americans impacted by Hurricane Helene.” The fundraiser promises to deliver all the donations as help to individuals affected by the hurricane.
The page further states, “With so many across the Southeastern U.S. facing challenges after the storm, President Trump is on the ground in communities to see the aftermath firsthand.” The statement continues to urge people to donate. It says, “All donations will be directed to help those most affected by Hurricane Helene. Any level of generosity will go a long way for your fellow Americans who are suffering.”
Among the notable donors was Senator Kelly Loeffler, who gave $500,000. Bass Pro Shops, known for its variety of hunting and other outdoor gear, gave $100,000. Furthermore, hedge fund billionaire William Ackman donated $100,000. Several other donors also pledged their support and gave money to help those affected by the hurricane.
On Monday, Donald Trump arrived in Valdosta with a truckload of supplies to offer his support to the victims affected by the hurricane. According to The Guardian, Trump traveled to the area with Franklin Graham, CEO of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.
Setting politics aside for the time being, Trump said, “We have to all get together and get this solved…They have a lot of help down here. We look out for one another, we pull together, we pitch in, we persevere and we pull it through.” The former president assured people of relief aid distribution to people affected by Hurricane Helene.
