Up to this point (even including the first film alone) he seemed incapable of killing without a mask – till this moment. If I were them, I'd have used that plot point and have him have either another mask or a temporary one. Remembering that this mask wasn't special – it was just something he picked up! When he was a kid it was the clown mask he found!

My opinion this movie and the rest of Blumhouse Trilogy sucks. Michael as seen here immediately just kills people. Sure it’s a slasher movie, but what makes the original movie so great is that he doesn’t immediately go for the kill. He stalks and waits until the perfect moment, this builds the tension and fear that the original movie done so well being scary.
This is an epic scene. The iconic Michael Myers after being locked up for 40 years is back out trick or treating on Halloween. Has his same mask and overalls too. He’s got to be feeling how sweet it is to be busted out and back on the job. One of the, if not the, best scene of the whole franchise
