Mothra wasn't actually reborn in this scene. The Mothra featured in GxK is actually the mother of the Mothra from KotM and she's been in a deep hibernation between the Malenka Pyramids for thousands of years after using the vortexes to lay multiple eggs on the surface.
So yes…she's been sleeping inside a cocoon for millennia and Jia just woke her up.
(Also, when I watched the film in cinemas, I was squealing like a fanboy, cheering on and holding my Mothra toy up high as the Queen of the Monsters makes her grand entrance~ ) ✨🦋✨
