Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage Cast Adds First New Characters

Jessie Prez (Griselda, Abbott Elementary) and Dougie Baldwin (Nowhere Boys) have officially been tapped to join the Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage cast for CBS’ upcoming Young Sheldon spin-off series.

Prez and Baldwin are set to portray the series regular roles of Ruben and Connor, respectively. Baldwin will be replacing Joe Apollonio, who originally played the character in the original series during its sixth season. Their official character descriptions are listed below:

  • Prez’s Ruben – is a long-time employee at McAllister’s tire store, who’s less than enthusiastic about the shop’s newest hire, Jim’s son-in-law, Georgie.
  • Baldwin’s Connor – is Mandy’s younger brother, a talented oddball with musical prowess who still lives with his parents. Coddled by his mother Audrey and hassled by his father, Jim, Connor doesn’t fit in even in his own family.

Who is in the Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage cast?

Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage will be led by Montana Jordan and Emily Osment. Their titular characters got married during the final season of Young Sheldon. The spin-off will also feature returning Young Sheldon stars Zoe Perry, Annie Potts, Raegan Revord, Will Sasso and Rachel Bay Jones. Perry’s Mary Cooper, Potts’ Meemaw, and Revord’s Missy Cooper are set as guest-stars, while Mandy’s parents Jim (Sasso) and Audrey (Jones) have been tapped as series regulars.

The spin-off is created and executive produced by Chuck Lorre, Steven Molaro and Steve Holland. It will continue to follow Georgie and Mandy’s story as they raise their young family in Texas, while navigating the challenges of adulthood, parenting and marriage. It is a production by Warner Bros. Television. It is slated to premiere on Thursday, October 17, as part of CBS’ 2024-2025 broadcast season.
