I can't begin to imagine the incredible relief those brave men felt seeing those tugs, yachts, motorboats, and every other kind of ship coming to get them. Lord, what a bunch of in brave civilians they were!
My great great grandfather was on that beach. He was shot by Germans and was so badly wounded he should have been left behind. He grabbed the medic who was attending him and told him to get him home or he would drag that medic down. He made it back to England safely because of these people
It's so lovely seeing this parade of restored ships, many of them real Little Ships, with their crews. I have friends who had a ship in this fleet for the movie. Many Dutch entries as well. Just wonderful to watch
My old neighbour was at Dunkirk small Geordie with grey hair and glasses, one of the last to leave , was so desperate he swam out and nearly drowned fortunately picked by a small boat , made it all through the war , his grandson told me the story two years ago , how i wish i had sat down and chatted with him all those years ago 😢
I have mixed emotions about this scene. As an Englishman I'm immensely proud of my ancestors and country for their bravery and integrity. But equally I'm as mad as hell for the way my country is being destroyed from within by spineless politicians and people that despise us. We really have lost our identity as a people to a poisonous idealogy called woke, which is actually nothing more than Marxism pretending to be virtue. 😞
Everyone, who says it wasn't accurate historically, must remember – this movie wasn't supposed to be documentary.. And I think this movie was built well enough to those of us who does wish to see it anyway Thank you, movie clips
This was the worst defeat Britain had ever suffered.
Watching this with my dad in the cinema is one of the best cinema experiences I’ve had
A great movie! ⛵ 👍

The best cene and one of the greatest achievements in history
The sad thing is the citizens now would not do the same

English fairy tales for idiots
Music in this film is unbelievable
Oh look, it's the Cajun Navy rescuing Texas after a Hurricane
Anyone saying Nolan's films are cold and emotionless should watch this scene.
My Dad was there. Came home on a destroyer.

imagine the people you fight for come to your rescue ❤
This just goes to show you, everyday folks can make the biggest difference.

All our fellow british men who lost their lives and for what for a traitor government to sell us out boils my blood
The Royal Navy saved far more lives than the civilians. That gets lost in the story
Its also interesting to note that Charles Lightoller who was 2nd officer on the Titanic when she sank was among the sailors who rescued the soldiers.
Finest hour
This scene describes my feelings after the US Ukraine aid package finally passed the house
One of the Masters of a small ship was Charles Lightoller – 2nd Officer of the ill-fated RMS Titanic!
Some of those boats were too small to sail in a bathtub!!! God love them!!!
Beautiful
When the man and his two sons come to rescue them in their own small craft brings tears to my eyes
Duenkirchen war der erste große strategische Fehler Hitlers. Die Evakuierung war die Voraussetzung Großbritanniens den Krieg weiterführen zu können.
Recently went to see the RNLB Thomas Kirk Wright (RNLI lifeboat) that was sent to Dunkirk, it was surreal
Just simple men saving their own soldiers.
Brits will be proud of this until the end of time. And should be.
open a giant bar tab
