Chinese Drama Dashing Youth Episode 22 Recap & Spoilers

The ongoing Wuxia Chinese drama Dashing Youth, starring Neo Hou and He Yu in the lead roles, released episode 22 on July 31, 2024. The latest episode focuses on Ye Yun (He Yu) being approached by a strange woman to defeat Baili Dongjun (Neo Hou).

In this episode, Mr. Li sits with his companions and explains why Luo Shui, the City Lord of Xueyue, refused to marry him. He reveals that she thought he was a playboy since he had three wives in his three lifetimes. While Dongjun and Sikong Changfeng agree with his statement, Yue Yao finds it disrespectful.

The next morning, they reach the Dengtian Pavilion of Xueyue City for their next challenge. Mr. Li explains that the pavilion consists of 16 floors, and a powerful martial arts master guards each floor. The higher one goes, the stronger the master is. Furthermore, the top floors are occupied by legends of the martial arts world who possess mysterious and supernatural powers. Only from the topmost floor can one truly see the vastness of the city. 

After that, Mr. Li showcases his true prowess as he climbs up the tower in a glimpse, defeating all the masters. His splendor leaves everyone gasping. After reaching the rooftop, he calls out to Luo Shui. He reveals that his new name in this new life is Nangong Chunshui. He apologizes to her for answering her question incorrectly the previous time and expresses his desire to spend this life with her. 

Did He Yu agree to fight Neo Hou?

Further in the episode, Chunshui reveals that he has abandoned the Dachun art and promises to live like a mortal. This is his last life, and he wants to spend it with no one other than Luo Shui. His words bring Luo Shui to tears. The two lovers finally unite and find their happy ever after. Hand in hand, they vanish into the thin air, leaving the trio behind.

Having no other choice, they try to enter the city. But Luo He, the city’s gatekeeper, stops them and asks them to come through the pavilion. Dongjun and Sikong Changfeng challenge him to a duel, but the City Lord sends in an order that they have to enter through the pavilion. Furthermore, only Yue Yao gets to enter uninterruptedly. 

Further into the episode, Ye Yun visits the blade deity Yan Lingxia and expresses his wish to learn the Demon-Deity Techniques. He convinces her to accept him as a junior. Meanwhile, Dongjun and Sikong Changfeng team up to enter the pavilion. They successfully defeat all the masters, but the defenders of the 15th and 16th floors team up against them. 

What happens in Dashing Youth episode 22’s ending?

But Dongjun and Changfeng are confident, and their arrogance gets the best of them. The two get badly beaten up by the legendary martial artist and are thrown out of the tower. 

Meanwhile, Ye Yun practices rigorously under the guidance of Lingxia. While roaming in the forest late at night, he is confronted by a strange woman. The lady introduces herself as Yue Qing and seems to know everything about Ye Yun’s past. She knows that his master has passed away and that Wenjun, his love interest, is marrying someone else. She explains that there is a technique he can use to achieve his goal. 

Yue Qing reminds him of his master Rain Demon’s last wish and asks him to defeat Mr. Li’s disciple, Baili Dongjun. Hearing her say such things about his friend, Ye Yun gets angry. He threatens to harm her. Besides, he doubts her identity as she looks exactly like Yin Luoxia. Then he leaves the place at once, but her words keep ringing in his words. Knowing Wenjun’s fate, he feels helpless.
