Chinese Drama Dashing Youth Episode 20 Recap & Spoilers

The ongoing Wuxia Chinese drama Dashing Youth, starring Neo Hou and He Yu in the lead roles, released episode 20 on July 30, 2024. The latest installment focuses on Baili Dongjun (Neo Hou) reuniting with his best-friend Ye Yun (He Yu).

In this episode, Ye Yun and his master, the Rain Demon arrive at Nanjue. They confront Yan Lingxia, the Blade Deity of Nanjue. Rain Demon has travelled all the way to this distant land to fight Lingxia and prove his worth. He advises Ye Yun to observe the battle so he can learn new and useful techniques. A terrible fight breaks out between the two legendary contenders. They spear through the sky and the river with their blows.

Meanwhile, Dongjun, Yue Yao and Mr. Li take rest on the side of the road. Mr. Li has taken a new appearance and looks more youthful than before. He reveals that Rain Demon is one of the most talented swordsmen he has ever encountered. But he is smug, arrogant and hot-headed, which is his weakness. Furthermore, he used to be a handsome young man. But during his practice of the Demon-Deity technique, his gender miraculously changed into a woman. They decide to rest in a nearby town called Qiayue for the day.

By the end of the fight between Rain Demon and Lingxia, the latter is defeated. But Rain Demon endures a fatal blow and soon embraces death. But before dying, he advises Ye Yun to follow in his footsteps but not to avenge his death. He explains that he has been practicing the demonic art for so long that his health depleted. But his last wish is for Ye Yun to travel to the North and defeat his old enemy’s disciple. After this, the Rain Demon vanishes into the sky.

Meanwhile, Sikong Changfeng gets ready to leave the Tianqi city. Before leaving., he decides to meet Miss Feng one last time. She appears to be sad when she hears about him leaving. Sikong Changfeng promises to return, but only after he has mastered the sword techniques. So, he can protect her. While roaming in the forest, he receives message from his master, who asks him to meet in the Tang Sect.

Where did Neo Hou & He Yu reunite?

Mr. Li along with Dongjun and Yue Yao visit Luo Sheng, the Military Deity. He is an old friend of Mr. Li and works as a swordsmith. He requests him to make a blade for Dongjun. But for some reason, he is not fond of the latter and hence he turns down the request. It was only after, Mr. Li offers him a broach that belonged to someone dear to Luo Sheng, that he comes around.

When asked why Dongjun wants a blade when he already possesses a celestial level sword, Mr. Li reveals that he plans to teach him the double handed sword-blade technique. Luo Sheng asks them to give him three days to prepare the sword as he is already working on a blade that needs final forging.

What happens in Dashing Youth episode 20’s ending?

After the blade is made, Mr. Li advises Dongjun to ignore the 19 embroidered sword techniques and learn new techniques with his blade. Mr. Luo invites Dongjun to a duel. Dongjun was confident but ended up losing the battle. He is surprised to see his old friend Ye Yun there.

Turns out, he also had his sword made by Mr. Luo. He has named his new sword pavillion moon. Ye Yun decides to join Dongjun in his journey.
