I can understand the point of the father, however, he's a serious clean freak, and that's not right either.
I mean, Beethoven is chaos and the father is order. They need each other to complement themselves.

When I was little I loved this movie. I use to BEG my parents for a dog and would use this movie as a reference to find a way to get them to say yes. Especially the scene where they cooked breakfast for their dad. Never worked. I now have a huge st.Bernard Great Pyrenees mix!

The reason the first two movies were so successful was because they were just as much about the family as Beethoven himself, especially the dad, George, who goes from a controlling and distant parental figure to a more grounded, emotionally open father who appreciates his family. I love these movies.

Who else pretends he's Marty McFly playing guitar to this song? Because if you think about it, many of Chuck Berry's songs have matching melodies. One such example is Johnny B. Goode and Roll Over Beethoven. So when Paul Shaffer's version of the song plays, I pretend I'm Marty McFly playing guitar to it with the Starlighters.

I love that you can tell Beethoven absolutely adores George, the animals always seem to pick the one person who doesn’t like them 🤣
God lookin at it now….. it was the clean white American dream. Safe neighbourhoods. Fresh cut grass. The land of opportunity. The home of the brave. People could afford the dream and it was so beautiful once. You know that perfect picturesque neighbourhood with the milkmen doing the rounds then the paperman and everyone knew each other…. now…. its full of illegal dangerous violent unclean migrants of thats what you call them. More of them to destroy and stand on the dream. Making it a nightmare each day….. like you're falling into an abyss that never ends…..
