A 747 at takeoff is going about 180 mph. There is no way trucks and car are going to be able to stay with it! Such Hollywood! 🙆♂
This movie was so well done. I remember knowing the outcome and still was extremely stressed out by this scene.
One problem, this scene did not actually happen. The leaving from the airport was the easiest part they said.

Gotta love scenes like this.
Jets in movies are never at full throttle when they get going and always show them pushing the throttle more when they are going down the runway. Pretty sure they are at 100% from the get go.
Then those cars wouldn’t be even close to that jet accelerating. lol. That jet probably takes off at near 150mph. 😂. Not to mention the jet blast would blow those vehicles right off the runway.
Gotta love the accuracy. Haha.
Cars driving that close to the rear of 747 engine at full throttle would have been blown from the runway.

This has to be one of most scariest scenes because if the terrorist caught the americans, they would be butchered! No regard for life!
Interesting fact: The Iranian lady at the canadian embassy with the headscarf fled to Iraq. Instead of Switzerland but she and many others who crossed into the border do not realize. That later in the same year Iraq invaded Iran. And also Afghanistan got invaded by Soviet Union. Which resulted more enemies in that area.
