Technically, if you searched the jungle after getting Dutch.. they could find the aliens mask and gun/lazer he throw away to fight Dutch. Wouldnt those be the only two things left ? As proof ? Since they didnt blow up.

I think the Predator laughed because he understood the human concept of humor, which would be alien to predator (no pun intended).
I mean think about it, he's a high tech alien that was tricked by a log Dutch hung in a tree, just like Hawkin's ridiculous joke, the Predato understands he died in a ridiculous yet clever way.
