Avengers: Doomsday Reveals Robert Downey Jr.’s MCU Return as Doctor Doom

In a stunning end to Marvel Studios’ Hall H panel at San Diego Comic-Con, it was revealed that Robert Downey Jr. would return to the MCU to play the legendary villain Doctor Doom.

The move was announced at the end of Marvel’s panel, which also confirmed the title of the upcoming fifth Avengers movie, Avengers: Doomsday. Alongside the news, it was also confirmed that the Russo Brothers would return to direct the fifth and sixth Avengers films, the latter of which will be Avengers: Secret Wars.
