One Piece, Haikyu!!, and JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure‘s main artists to feature live performances in Barcelona this December
MANGA BARCELONA will celebrate its 30th anniversary from 5th to 8th December 2024, and the Japanese culture festival will once again shine with top names from the Japanese music scene. These artists will be visiting Spain for the first time, offering exclusive concerts.
Maki Otsuki, the voice behind the iconic One Piece songs “memories” and “RUN! RUN! RUN!”, will perform on Thursday, December 5th, and Sunday, December 8th. Otsuki, who also sang “Destiny” from the One Piece special Heart of Gold, recently made a grand return to Eiichiro Oda‘s series with the new ending theme, “Dear Sunrise,” which will be performed live in Barcelona.
Also performing on December 5th and 8th is Coda, a versatile artist and a familiar name in the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure discography. With hits like “BLOODY STREAM”, “Fighting Gold” and “Goodbye Nostalgia”, Coda has amassed tens of millions of streams, solidifying his reputation. His latest venture includes a jazz album under the name Coda Piano Trio.
The highlight for live music fans will be on Friday, December 6th, and Saturday, December 7th, with performances by BURNOUT SYNDROMES, one of Japan’s hottest groups with a growing global fanbase. Known for their rock anthems, BURNOUT SYNDROMES, frequently featured in Haikyu!! openings, will perform two concerts in Barcelona. Fans can look forward to singing along to “FLY HIGH!!”, the hit song from the second season of Haikyu!!, which boasts over 100 million Spotify streams.
Other notable tracks by BURNOUT SYNDROMES include “Hikariare” and “PHOENIX”, the opening themes for Haikyu!!‘s third and fourth seasons, respectively. These tracks follow closely behind “FLY HIGH!!” in popularity, cementing the group’s success. They are also known for the Gintama ending theme “Hana Ichi Monme” and the Dr. Stone opening “Good Morning World!”.
MANGA BARCELONA continues its dedication to Japanese music, building on past performances by notable artists such as Yoko Takahashi, AKB48, Vicke Blanka, Centimillimental, Ayumi Miyazaki, Yoko Ishida, Nana Kitade, and Anly, among others.
