A channel named Darth Trailer, renowned for making concept trailers released the One Piece Season 2 one on July 18. This particular trailer garnered over 5,00,000 lakh views in just a few days, stirring discussion among fans on its originality. The video features clips from the initial One Piece season and dubbed voices. However, the clips are rearranged so perfectly and chronologically that they provide details on the Season 2 plot and feature returning characters.

Although Netflix hasn’t released an official trailer for the upcoming season, it recently shared a start of production video. One Piece Season 1 premiered last year and in a short time significantly drew a lot of acclaim and viewership. According to The Wrap, the series garnered over 71 million views, becoming the most-watched Netflix series. Following its success, Netflix renewed it for another season with its filming already commenced on June 2024.

In an interview with Tudum, showrunner Matt Owens revealed that Dr. Kureha will play a vital role in the upcoming season. “When the Season 2 writers’ room got together, we knew how far we were going to get and that this character Dr. Kureha was going to be a big part of the season,” he said. The plot will likely focus more on exploring Arabasta’s arc and developing characters within the Straw Hat Pirates crew.

The upcoming season will also welcome new characters like Mr. 9, Mr. 5, Smoker, Miss Valentine, Dorry, and many more. The returning cast includes Iñaki Godoy as Luffy, Mackenyu as Roronoa Zoro, Jacob Romero as Usopp, Emily Rudd as Nami, and Taz Skylar as Sanji.

Netflix One Piece’s Season 2 is expected to come out by late 2025.
