Wistoria: Wand and Sword episode 2 recap
The episode starts with a flashback of Will being mocked at the academy by his peers for his inability to use magic. However, Principal Caldron gives him a chance after seeing Will’s capabilities with a sword. The episode returns to the present as Will attends his supplementary lessons with Professor Workner.
Meanwhile, Shion’s lackeys spread the news of Shion defeating the sentinel around the school. Shion is bothered by it but refuses to admit that someone like Will would kill something like that. Edward meets the principal and demands that Will be expelled. However, the principal tells him that Will could go on any path he likes as his grades are good. She allows Edward to give Will any test of his choosing and see if he’s fit to stay.
Edward immediately summons Will to the practice room and tells him to land a blow on him, or he’s expelled. Meanwhile, Caldron summons Workner to watch the battle as well. Edward overwhelms Will with his magic, while an unarmed Will struggles to approach his teacher.
During the match, he asks Will what drives him, and Will tells him it’s his love for Elfaria. Kiki and Colette arrive just in time and give him his sword, which he uses to destroy Edward’s shield and pass the test. The episode ends with Edward admitting defeat and awarding Will five credits.
