Unsinkable is a brand new, 11-part audio movie series that tells the true story of the San Demetrio, a British tanker that was attacked offshore during World War II and abandoned but subsequently reboarded and successfully rescued by the crew. The ship has been the subject of several pieces of media, including a 1943 feature film titled San Demetrio London.

The audio series is presented in Dolby Atmos and told over 3 hours and 30 minutes, with each episode lasting roughly 20 minutes. The series is led by a star-studded cast of talent, with over 37 actors playing more than 100 distinct roles. Stars in the series include Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Brian Cox, Nathalie Emmanuel, John Malkovich, Harry Hamlin, Blair Redford, Paul Telfer, Juliet Aubrey, Rupert Vansittart, John Altman, and Hugh Fraser.

“Unsinkable tells the true story of the British tanker, the San Demetrio – one of the most extraordinary tales of heroism, fortitude, and seamanship of WW2. When the ship is attacked thousands of miles from home in enemy-infested seas, a raw young officer and a handful of desperate seamen fight to survive both against the elements and themselves,” reads the official description.

Unsinkable comes from creators, directors, and showrunners Misha Crosby and John Mawson. They are joined by producers Andrew Mark Sewell, Jack Bowman, and Helen Quigley, the sound design has been led by Jimmy Boyle and his team and delivered in Dolby Atmos, mixed by Academy Award Winner Ben Wilkins.
