The ongoing office romance Chinese drama As Beautiful As You, featuring Xu Kai and Tan Songyun in the lead roles, released episode 24 on July 16, 2024. As seen in the official trailer and previous installments, Ji Xing (Tan Songyun) resigns from her job on a whim to pursue her dream of establishing her own company. Han Ting (Xu Kai), her old friend from college, becomes her investor. Little does she know that he is in love with her. Episode 24 focuses on Han Ting finally asking Ji Xing out.

Ji Xing and Han Ting attend a dinner party hosted by prominent business figures, including Mr. Chang He. One of the investors continues to pester Ji Xing to drink with Chang He, even when she becomes noticeably uncomfortable. To save her from embarrassment, Han Ting comes to her rescue and drinks up. However, it turns out he can not hold his alcohol well. Although the duo leaves the restaurant with dignity, Han Ting gets sick on the way home.

Meanwhile, Ji Xing receives a distress phone call from Zhou, who informs her that Zhang Fengmei, their volunteer, is not doing well. Her spine is cracked and dislocated. When Ji Xing hears the news, she rushes to the hospital. Despite being sick, Han Ting decides to accompany her.

Upon arriving at the hospital, they learn from Yichen that Fengmei’s injury was not new. It is an old injury that has resurfaced. Li Li and Ji Xing meet with Fengmei, who assures her that she will recover soon. Moreover, it appears that she wants to say something to Ji Xing but hesitates.

Han Ting drops Ji Xing off at her house and walks her to her doorstep. Before the latter gets in, he pins her against the wall and asks her why she has been avoiding him. Ji Xing replies that she doesn’t know what kind of relationship they are in. Han Ting asks her to ask herself the same question. But before their conversation can progress, Ji Xing’s roommate opens the door, and she shyly rushes in.

The next morning, Yichen informs Ji Xing that Fengmei has been missing from the hospital. He emphasizes that it is important for her to get the surgery done as soon as possible. Fengmei’s husband and relatives take her to Dongyang Medical and protest against Xingchen. Meanwhile, Ji Xing and her team examine her medical records and find nothing wrong with their equipment.

When Ji Xing and the other employees of Xingchen arrive at Dongyang, Fengmei’s husband refuses to negotiate with them. It becomes evident that Fengmei has been held there against her will. The protestors demand compensation and refuse to leave. When a dispute arises between the two parties, Ji Xing is violently pushed aside. Just then, Han Ting arrives at the scene and rescues her.

What happens in As Beautiful As You episode 24’s ending?

The protestors are forced to leave after he threatens to get the police involved. On their way home, Ji Xing breaks down since she can not watch Fengmei getting crippled. Han Ting takes Ji Xing to his apartment and treats her injuries. He then sends his secretary to negotiate with Fengmei’s husband.

Ji Xing is surprised that all allegations against her company have been revoked. Soon after, Han Ting cooks a meal for her. He then finally confesses and asks her to be his girlfriend. Han Ting also promises to care for her and be a thoughtful partner, following which Ji Xing accepts his proposal.
