I had to go and look up who was playing Lennon as I thought it might be James Warren – but bugger me it's Hamish McBeth! He really is a talented actor that Robert Carlyle.
I dont see how people can find this scene so emotional, because this is a John Lennon who never became a Beatle and has no recollection of the band? Hes basically a stranger.
Nice scene in the movie. Pure fantasy. Lenon's life was a mess. Woman beater, neglected and thus abused his child with Julia. Bad heroin addict. Checked out of the Beatles years before 1970. Had a horrible temper. Paul, George, Ringo, Julia, and even Yoko publicly covered for him. He wasn't the together peaceful artist man portrayed in these scenes. I love much of his music, but this Lenon worship is beyond, IMHO.
I dont know why. But once in a while i like to come here and cry for 3 fcking minutes straight.
Does anyone know the name of the guitar bit in the beginning? I can’t pin it but it’s beautiful
Face on, looks so much like Lennon!
The infamous marmite scene…
Allegedly Yoko approved . That a girl ! And I bet the B52s liked this scene too
"Wtf does this brown person want me, you already colonized London?" was he's thoughts when the indian guy knocked on his door.
The Beatles suck.
I choose to believe this happened
