Anime Expo 2024: List of Anime Series Announced & Their Release Date Windows

2024 has been a good year for anime fans, and with the recent conclusion of Anime Expo 2024, things are even looking better. Anime Expo 2024 was held from July 4 to July 7 in Los Angeles, California. The event featured many trailers and significant announcements and saw the attendance of several voice actors and producers. In this article, we will reveal all the major announcements from the event.

Omniscient Readers Viewpoint

Arguably, the most prominent announcement of the whole event was the anime adaptation of the Omniscient Readers Viewpoint manhwa. Crunchyroll announced the anime was in production and released a trailer to help put fans at ease. However, no release date or window has been made available yet.

My Hero Academia: You’re Next

For the past few weeks, fans have been discussing the events of My Hero Academia, and at the recent event, it was no different. The Toho Animation team announced the plan for the movie to premiere in the United States and revealed that it would be released on October 11 in North America.

Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Part 3

At the Anime Expo 2024, it was announced that Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Part 3 will be released in October 2024. Additionally, the opening song is titled “Kotoba ni Sezu Tomo” and will be performed by SIX LOUNGE, while the ending “Monochrome” will be performed by Suisoh.

Beastars Final Season

Beastars creator Paru Itagaki revealed that the hit series will return with the first part of the anime’s last season in December. Paru couldn’t hide her excitement for the upcoming season and told fans to look forward to it.

Fire Force season 3

Rumors of Fire Force had been surfacing even before this year’s Anime Expo. However, the speculations were put to rest at the event as Crunchyroll announced that the anime would air in 2025. It was reported that Fire Forse season 3 would be the final part of the anime, and it would be split into two cours. The first cour will premiere in April 2025, while the second one will premiere in January 2026. However, the exact release date hasn’t been made public yet.

Solo Leveling season 2 

Solo Leveling released its first trailer for the highly anticipated second season. Season 2 has been officially called Arise from the Shadow. The trailer highlighted the Red Gate arc and the Hell arc, two of the best arcs in the series. The anime will be released later this year.

Haikyuu Time Skip

During the panel event featuring top anime studios, it was confirmed that the Haikyuu anime would be animating the Time Skip arc. Since then, several fans have been looking forward to seeing the match between the Adlers and the Jackals. However, the anime movie’s release date or window has yet to be announced.

Blue Lock season 2

Ahead of its October 5 premiere, Anime Expo 2024 unveiled the new trailer for the upcoming season. The video highlighted the upcoming match against the Japan U-20 team. The trailer was well received as the movie’s success made fans more than excited for the new season.

Black Butler season 5

Following the success of the just-completed public school arc, the event announced news for Black Butler season 5. It revealed that the Black Butler: Emerald Witch arc was in the works and will premiere in 2025. However, the exact release date hasn’t been made public yet.

Blue Exorcist season 4

Following the success of the Illuminati arc, Blue Exorcist season 4 is in the works and will be released this year. The anime unveiled the arcs it will cover in the upcoming season. Season 4 will be split into two courses. The Beyond the Shadow arc will premiere in October, while the Blue Night arc will air in January 2025.

The Apothecary Diaries season 2

Following the success of its first season, Apothecary Diaries has been renewed for a second season. Crunchyroll announced that the anime would be returning sometime in 2025. However, the exact release date hasn’t been made available yet.

After years of waiting, Kamome Shirahama’s hit series is finally getting an anime adaptation. The first trailer was unveiled on day 1 of the Anime Expo, and they followed up with a key visual. Moreover, it was announced the anime is slated to premiere next year.

Dr. Stone: Science Future

Crunchyroll announced they will be streaming Doctor Stone’s fourth and final season. However, a release date or window has yet to be officially announced.
