Renowned MTV VJ and former model, Ananda Lewis has recently provided some updates on her health in a recent discussion. Ananda Lewis, who first opened up about her breast cancer diagnosis in 2020, has provided some exclusive details on her condition.

Ananda Lewis was diagnosed with stage IV breast cancer
Ananda Lewis was part of a round table discussion on CNN recently with hosts Sara Sidner and Stephanie Elam accompanying her. During the conversation, Ananda Lewis starts to open up about her breast cancer diagnosis and reveals her thoughts on avoiding a double mastectomy which was recommended by her doctors.
As shown in the clip released by CNN, Lewis says, “My plan at first was to get out excessive toxins in my body. I felt like my body was intelligent, I know that to be true. Our bodies are brilliantly made.” Ananda Lewis further adds that she regrets not getting the procedure done and states, “I decided to keep my tumor and try to work it out of my body a different way. Looking back on that, I go, ‘You know what? Maybe I should have.’”
Although the VJ followed a healthy diet and opted for a good lifestyle and homeopathic treatments, her cancer has still worsened and advanced to Stage IV as per CNN.
Ananda Lewis revealed she had difficult conversations with her doctor and asserted, “My lymph system really flared up. It was the first time I ever had a conversation with death because I felt like This is how it is.”
She further noted, “I was just like, ‘Fudge man, I really thought I had this.’ I was frustrated, I was a little angry at myself. My quality of life was very important to me … I want to want to be here.”
