  1. The scene where Abigail mentally puppets Sammy with both young women dancing is set to Danzig's "Blood and Tears," but it was choreographed against an electric guitar version of "Swan Lake." The filmmakers love the idea of Abigail being a big Danzig fan.

  2. Kathryn Newton is also a professional dancer who has trained in ballet and dance since she was young. For the sequence where Abigail mentally takes over Sammy's body and has her perform a bloody dance, Newton and choreographer Belinda Murphy worked out a full dance routine. Newton then presented the three- dance to the directors assuming they might capture a piece of it to use in the film. Instead Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett filmed the whole sequence and used all of it to show the power of Abigail and her appreciation of dancing as a weapon.

  3. Considering she's a couple centuries old and has spent that entire time trapped in a little girl's body, I imagine it was quite exhilarating for her to dance using a grown woman's body instead. Also, the actress playing Sammy did a great job reproducing Abigail's body language & mannerisms.

  4. This movie exceeded my expectations. This scene was so epic and what I love most about this whole movie is that it’s not one of those cliché love stories of vampires looking like a gorgeous, ethereal being that’s out of this world. It really shows what a vampire really should be; viscous, terrifying and deadly. Overall, I loved it!

  5. Alisha Weir was awesome in this picture. Expect her to be at least as popular as Natalie Portman in the future. Had never heard this song before, so I checked it out on the internet. Was shocked that it was Danzig, whose only other song I had heard before was "Mother" in the '80s. Inspired me to check out more of his stuff. He's got a lot of great tunes.
