Max has shared the official photos for the upcoming Velma Halloween special titled, Velma: This Halloween Needs to Be More Special! This comes after the second season of the adult animated spinoff made its debut on Max last April.
“With just 24 hours to bring Velma back, the friends search for a dark spellbook while trying to avoid the wrath of a vengeful spirit,” reads the official logline. “But as the annual Sexy Halloween party nears, Velma and the gang must face their biggest fears… if they all want to make it out alive.”
When is the Velma Halloween special release date?
Velma: This Halloween Needs to Be More Special! will be available for streaming starting on Thursday, October 3 on Max. The special will feature the voices of Mindy Kaling, Glenn Howerton, Sam Richardson, and Constance Wu. Additional cast includes Russell Peters, Sarayu Blue, Jane Lynch, Wanda Sykes, Frank Welker, Nicole Byer, Gary Cole, Andia Winslow, Sara Ramirez, Nicholas Braun, Fortune Feimster, Jennifer Hale, Richard Kind, Jason Mantzoukas, Saweetie, Debby Ryan, and Kulap Vilaysack.
The Halloween special was developed, written, and executive produced by Charlie Grandy, with Adam Parton and Meg Waldow directing. In addition to leading the cast, Kaling also serves as an executive producer alongside, Howard Klein, Elijah Aron, Sam Register, and Jessica Kumai Scott. It is produced by Kandace Reuter, Amy Winfrey, and Greg Gallant.
