Between this and the first movie, this play-movie is really good but I prefer the first adaptation. The first movie didn't pull its punches with the themes and showed that even the main character wasn't perfect, she had a journey to go through to build herself up. No lights, no glamour, life is in the bin and every day feels like a cage. Also meanwhile the modern cast is stacked, the first movie was just as stacked as this one.
