Terrifier 4 Confirmed by Horror Franchise Creator Ahead of 3rd Movie’s Release

Terrifier 4 is in the works.

The first Terrifier movie was released in 2016, followed by 2022’s Terrifier 2 and 2024’s Terrifier 3, which is set to be released in United States theaters next month. All three movies star David Howard Thornton as Art the Clown.

Per Variety, writer and director Damien Leone has now that Terrifier 4 is in the works. 

What did Damien Leone say about Terrifier 4?

Leone was asked about the future of the franchise at Fantastic Fest in Austin, Texas, on Thursday, September 19, and said, “Yes there will be a Terrifier 4.”

Leone has spoken about wanting to make Terrifier 4 before. He told Business Insider in February 2023, “I am writing Terrifier 3 as we speak. I definitely want to make at least one more. There may be two to tell this story and tackle all the ideas that I have in my head. Because there’s a lot more to explore with Art the Clown, the pale girl, Victoria, and certainly Sienna as our final girl. We will be following her journey to the end of this franchise.:

Terrifier 3 hits United States theaters on October 11, 2024. Along with Thornton, the film stars Lauren LaVera as Sienna Shaw, Elliot Fullam as Jonathan Shaw, Samantha Scaffidi as Victoria “Vicky” Heyes, Chris Jericho as Burke, and more.

“After surviving Art the Clown’s Halloween massacre, Sienna and her brother are struggling to rebuild their shattered lives,” the synopsis for Terrifier 3 reads. “As the holiday season approaches, they try to embrace the Christmas spirit and leave the horrors of the past behind. But just when they think they’re safe, Art the Clown returns, determined to turn their holiday cheer into a new nightmare. The festive season quickly unravels as Art unleashes his twisted brand of terror, proving that no holiday is safe.”
