Something that always bothered me in this scene is how different the conditions of this trench are compared to the others entered. How is this one perfectly dry and a completely different soil type?
Since everyone was out of th3 trenches he could have ran through the trench completely safe, this movie tried so hard to make these dudes into something that they were definitely not.
Although what I am going to say here has nothing to do with the plot of the movie, this scene is a great inspiration that we should follow our own path. Not following everyone else.
Just saw it on Netflix, and not trying to be a prisoner of the moment but it’s one of the greatest films I’ve ever seen. And I’ve seen many films of many different genres.
1st guy he runs into just dies. 2nd guy appears to die but then realizes he's not suppose to die so he just randomly stands back up again and stares at the dude for a bit before continuing to run lol
0:53 Cuando tu equipo se va al descenso y tenés que comenzar a correr porque los hinchas comienzan a quemar el estadio y querer entrar a la cancha a pegarle a los jugadores
What I really liked about this movie was the name of the actors dictating their ranks. Benedict Cumberbatch being a colonel, Mark Strong being a captain and the lesser known actors being sergeants and privates.
0:54 bro when i was in the theater and heard the charge whistle i was thinking “you better start running bro!” Another fun fact the part where he ran into one of the extras was unplanned. (Idk which one tho) also this film is very underrated thank god i saw it in theaters before the pandemic happened.
I might be wrong, but the front end guys at 1:01 should not be there, the three guys to very left of screen/shot running, since he says, "you'll have to wait until the first wave goes over." In other words, the guys going over the hill, should be the front, no one else at this point. This is most likely an editing error of some sort.

Imagine if this was a true story of an actual person. Talk about a legend. Got more courage than me 😂. Man was running off adrenaline!
the director told him “keep running no matter what.” So him crashing into other soldiers was genuinely real and I think that made the scene more cool!
I'm back here because this film is a masterpiece
“Run Run! Run!!! RUN!!!!! RUUUUUUNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!! GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” ~me in the theater
God save the British
Wow😊

Could you imagine the guilt he must feel knowing that each soldier that runs past him is likely going to die just because he wasn’t fast enough.
1917 : Take 351x over Budget!!¿ *From running scene..

It’s filmmaking at its best.
Why didn’t he run behind the trench
average lego lore:
I like how the first guy he bumps into is just insta dead from that bump.😂
The most hilarious thing about this scene is wuen he runs into the first guy and he just like dies lmao 😂
The first dude he collided with starts sleeping 😂

in real life, one friendly stab by a bayonet and he’s dead lol
"What the hell are you doing, Lance Corporal!?"
"Winning us an Oscar"
I’m gonna assume the first guy who hit the main character was hit by shrapnel right when he collided with him and died
MA15+ strong war themes

You can clearly see the despire in his eyes, what an actor. Best action movie.
Ok I love this scene, but only question I have: why can’t he run on the other side of the trench?
Why didn’t he just run on the parados?
This scene is so heartbreaking cause all these young men are running into a huge trap and it actually happened 😢
The british killed 160 million bharathis between 1980 -1920
So i dont Empathize with the old brtish people

Girls: I loved playing with Barbie when I was little
Average lore of my Lego minifigures:
This movie is absolutely terrible and out of touch
i would have run on the other side of the pit/ trench.
i remember the extra who bumped into him and died made a youtube video about it, I watched it years ago but I can't find it anymore😭😭
Even though it’s relatively recent this scene has marked itself of cinema history
