As soon as the aliens dot on the scanner starts heading towards the stationary dallas 0:55 it sends a shiver down my spine every single time..an absolutely brilliant and terrifying scene..Just like the whole movie ❤

Can someone explain why the Xeno has Webbed hands? Is this an in-between state before it becomes a fully formed drone but after its chestburster phase? Bc I've been looking everywhere for an answer and still can't find one?

It just looks like a guy in a suit to me. The effects aren’t good compared to Aliens. Completely takes me out of the experience.
I always found this jump scare a little funny. The alien does jazz hands.
Imagine the tension and fear the audience felt when they saw this scene and the Xenomorph in the cinema in 1979.

Back in the day when I saw it on TV the brightness of my screen was too high so the Xenomorph was already visible when Dallas climbed down the stairs at 1:17 🤣

In a deleted scene, Dallas wasn't killed but taken by the xenomorph and cocooned so that her can be a host for another embryo.
The most unbelievable thing is that Parker went into those tunnels afterwards to look for Dallas and grab the flamethrower. Seriously, the balls on that man.
The line “no blood, no Dallas, nothing” really makes me think about how it went down there in the shaft.
Ash’s reaction to Dallas about to death is pretty terrifying! The time we knew this Ash guy was sketchy and up to no good! Right there I knew he was hiding something sinister!
Never liked the teeth on the Xenomorphs. They don't go with the rest of the design imo.

You either see why Alien is the far better movie than Aliens, or you don't… it cannot be explained. You can keep telling your friends who prefer the sequel, how Alien has the better direction, the better acting, the better atmosphere, the better build up and the better suspense, but that's still not enough – you're either one of those who understand it, or you are an Aliens fan because "it has action and funny characters". And i love Aliens too, but Alien is something that will never be recreated in the entire future history of cinema.
Theirs a deleted scene of Dallas. He actually didn’t die here originally. I wish they kept it in.
