You know what's interesting? The remote was supposed to fastforward every time he got sick or had a health problem, but this time didn't, that's because he was going to die in that exact moment and there was going to be nothing more after that. I like to believe the reason Morty gave him his second chance was this exact moment, Adam Sandler didn't just felt bad about it or wished he could have been there, Morty told him he was going to die if he tried to catch his son but did it anyways to save him from commiting his same mistake, he sacrificed his last breath for his family.
If you never saw this movie and didn’t know it was a comedy and just saw this scene you’d think Adam Sandler probably won an Oscar for this performance.
This movie is why you shouldn't judge films based on reviews. People truly dont understand the art of cinema. Especially critics who just want to see how good a movie is, this is prime example. This is a comedy/drama with a message that will be delivered to you by the end. It's a roller coaster of emotion, and a story has an epiphany for us all. Love cinematography and don't let anyone else ruin it.
So many moral lessons in this movie. Family comes first, enjoy the little things in life, beware of what you wish for, money doesn’t buy happiness, and don’t run away from your problems.
i cried everytime i watch this movie
Adam sandler:
😭

This scene plus the one in the graveyard is still a gut punch to this day.
