JTBC K-Drama Romance in the House: Release Date, Cast, Plot & More

Romance in the House K-drama is a new JTBC series, which will also stream on Netflix. It revolves around the themes of romance, comedy, and family. It tells the story of a man returning to his family after a decade but under different circumstances.

The official synopsis reads, “After his business crashes, a man disappears from his family for 11 years. But when he makes a return as their wealthy landlord, a messy reunion ensues.” Fans can expect two love stories in the drama — one between a young couple and another between a middle-aged pair.

Romance in the House K-drama will premiere on Saturday, August 11, 2024, at 10:30 p.m. on JTBC and Netflix. It consists of 12 episodes and will air twice a week on Saturdays and Sundays.

Romance in the House K-drama cast includes Ji Jin-Hee as Byeon Mu-Jin, Kim Jee-Soo as Geum Ae-Yeon, Son Na-Eun as Byeon Mi-Rae, and Choi Min-Ho as Nam Tae-Pyeong. The SHINee member returns to the screen after two years.

The upcoming series centers around the Byeon family. Mu-Jin and Ae-Yeon were married with two children — Mi-Rae and Hyun-Jae. But, Mu-Jin’s constant failure in business made him lose his family. After the divorce, he vanished from their lives only to return after 11 years as a rich landlord. Now, the kids have grown up with their mother, who is the only breadwinner of the clan. 

Mu-Jin wants to reconcile with his ex-wife but Mi-Rae opposes the plan while Hyun-Jae supports it. Amid protecting her mother from her father, Mi-rae also finds love in her colleague Tae-Pyeong.

Meanwhile, fans can soon watch Romance in the House on weekends on JTBC and Netflix.
