UTAWARERUMONO ZAN COMING TO STEAM; STORE PAGE UP
TOKYO, JAPAN – July 30, 2024.
Shiravune is pleased to announce that Utawarerumono: ZAN, a hack-and-slash take
on the beloved franchise from the developers at AQUAPLUS, will be coming to PC on
Steam.
This version is based on the original first released on the PlayStation®4 in 2018 and will
come with a number of PC-specific optimizations and enhancements. Release is
currently planned for 2025.

SERIES OVERVIEW
The Utawarerumono series, developed by AQUAPLUS, has been a sensation in Japan
for over 20 years and a hit in the West for almost a decade. The core trilogy of tactics-
JRPG adventures, Utawarerumono: Prelude to the Fallen, Utawarerumono: Mask of
Deception, and Utawarerumono: Mask of Truth, are already available on Steam.
Utawarerumono: ZAN follows the story of Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception,
punctuating its most exciting moments with fast-paced action gameplay. This title
presents an opportunity for longtime fans to revisit their favorite moments and for new
players to discover this classic series from a more casual and approachable
perspective.

Clear combat missions to advance the story. Missions can have primary and secondary
objectives―clear more to earn extra experience and items!
As you proceed through the adventure, more characters will be unlocked for you to
control. Start every mission with up to four allies and switch characters whenever you
please! Gather a team of your favorite heroes before you challenge the most difficult
content.
Once your characters are strong enough, you’ll unlock the ability to unleash
devastating Final Strikes that can annihilate whole screens’ worth of enemies or
resuscitate your party from the brink of death.
FOCUS ON YOUR SPECIALTIES!
Every character has a unique ability that changes the way you play the game. Some of
these passive effects are always active, while others will only trigger under specific
conditions.

Utawarerumono: ZAN supports online co-op. Join forces with friends to battle powerful
